What is the term of your contract?November 15th to April 1st.
-
Can you guarantee my driveway will be cleared by a certain time?We would love to be able to give a guarantee for when we will arrive but we never know when the snow will start!:) Mother nature is in charge here, but we do our best to be prompt and efficient once trigger has been reached.
-
What if the city plow comes by after you have already cleared my driveway? On heavy snowfalls we are aware that the plowbacks from the city plows can leave a bit of a mess behind. We do our best to be aware when the plows make it out so that we can keep the driveway end open.
-
If I call during a snowstorm, will there be someone in the office to answer the phone? No. We try our best to be as quick and efficient on returning calls during snowstorms but it is all hand on deck during a snow event, making sure that we complete our route lists as quickly and safely as possible. As a policy we do not do one time event clearing. This means that is you are only interested in having us come one time to your property due to a large snowfall we are unable to do that.
-
How can we contact you?By telephone or email. Details available on our contact page or by filling out the form below.
-
Are you a member of any professional organizations?Yes. We are a member of the Snow and Ice Management Association (www.sima.org).
-
Is there a problem if a car is parked on my driveway? No. Our drivers are trained to work around them. If you expect to have a car on the driveway when we arrive we recommend that you make sure to place it as close to the top and side of the driveway as possible to allow the driver maximum accessibility. Please note, for the sake all clients we ask our drivers not to get out their tractor. As a policy, they also cannot wait for vehicles to be moved.
-
Can you snow blow a gravel laneway?Yes. Our drivers try to be as careful as possible. However, it is impossible to avoid gravel moving, and subsequent displacement, until the ground freezes completely, especially if we have a year where there are a lot of freeze / thaw cycles as there have been of late.
-
What methods of payment do you accept?Cheque, cash or e-transfer. Payment options and instructions are on your monthly invoice.
-
What about items on my driveway? It is the responsibility of the home owner to make sure that any and all items are away and the driveway is clear. It is very difficult to see items left out with snow cover. For example, flower pots/planters, downspouts, leash leads, extension cords, shovels, basketball nets, children's toys a well as newspapers, recycling bins and garbage cans all need to be clear of the driveway area.
-
Do you spread salt on the driveway if it is icy?No. We do not spread salt. In the event of freezing rain, or a series of freeze/thaws, it is the homeowner's responsibility to apply any necessary abrasives. These abrasives inevitably will be dispersed onto your lawn during subsequent snow blowing events.
-
Do you do sidewalks? No. At this time we are unable to offer sidewalk clearing.
